GKD Africa

GKD Africa in Randfontein designs, builds, supplies, installs and commissions equipment that separates water from solids in mining and mineral processing, and supplies the spares that go with it. Its range covers linear screens (GKD made the first linear screen filter cloths, with screening efficiency above 95%), horizontal vacuum belt filters with its own VACUBELT belts, filter presses up to 2,100 m2 per unit, thickeners and clarifiers from 1 to 60 m across, screening media and filter cloths, including cloths for other makers' linear screens. In its own words, it is made in Randfontein, with engineering, manufacturing and spares on the doorstep of the Bushveld Complex, the world's largest platinum (PGM) region. GKD Africa is part of the German family-owned GKD group, which is more than 100 years old.
