Saftronics is a South African manufacturer of industrial power electronics, founded in 1966 by Bonne Posma as the first local power electronics company in the country. The name joins "SA" for South Africa with a short form of "electronics". Its engineers design, build and support AC and DC drives, soft starters, heater and crane controllers, power rectifiers and custom motor control panels, made for the harsh conditions of mining, manufacturing, water treatment and heavy industry. The offices are in Bedford Park, Bedfordview, and the factory is in the Industrial Village, Rover Road, Germiston. Saftronics offers full lifecycle support, from consulting and system design to panel building, commissioning, service, repairs, upgrades and training, and has delivered projects across South Africa and Africa.
